SkillBridge Internships
At Operation Lifeline Inc., we proudly participate in the DoD SkillBridge Program, offering transitioning service members hands-on internships that help them gain valuable skills and certifications for civilian careers. Through key partnerships with organizations like CareerSource and the Northeast Florida Builders Association, our program provides real-world experience in construction and nonprofit management, while supporting our mission to serve veterans and underserved communities.
Military service is an unparalleled, life-changing experience. While many veterans thrive following service, others face challenges finding their civilian path. Not all military career fields directly translate to the civilian workforce, and some service members are looking to change careers entirely from their military specialties.
Program Overview
Our SkillBridge Internship allows service members to spend their final months of military service building critical skills and earning certifications that prepare them for life after the military. With support from CareerSource for job placement and NEFBA—the 4th largest builders association in the U.S.—providing access to a vast network of employers, participants receive the resources they need to successfully transition into civilian employment.
